Services for Brokers
Having been a broker, I see things from a broker's eyes.
  • When I'm captaining on a sea trial/survey, I don't say anything unless it's a positive comment about the boat.
  • When I'm taking photos or video, I'm looking for a clean shot with no toothpaste or dirty dishes in the frame. You won't see my reflection in any mirrors.
  • When doing a pre-survey or pre-listing walkthrough, I'll be looking for the things that will make or break a sale.

Sea Trial/Survey Captain I'll get there early to familiarize myself with the boat.  My goal is to make it seem that driving and/or sailing the boat looks like it's as easy and fun as possible.  I won't give any opinions about the boat.  My job is to get the boat in and out of the slip safely.  I'll work closely with the surveyor to help make his job as easy as possible.

Listing Photographs and Video I take photos as if it were a 360 walk through.  I usually take a minimum of 100 photos.  All photos will be labeled as to what/where they are.  I will upload all photos in their highest definition form to Smugmug.com where you can pick and choose what you want to load into your listing.

Listing Inventory I will provide a document that will list all features to include model, mfg and as much specific description as I can get.  I will accompany the list with photos.

Pre-listing or Pre-showing Review If you, or your client, will have to travel to take a look at a boat, let me do a preliminary look for you.  I'll take high definition photos of all the places that you or your client would look at with a broker's critical eye.  No detail will be left out.

Pre-Survey Run Through/Sea Trial
It's a good idea to do a walk through and/or sea trail run a few weeks before the actual sea trial/survey.  It won't be at the detail level of an actual sea trial/survey.  But, for example, if I can identify that the boat is not getting up to RPM's or running hot, it would be far better to replace a RACOR or impeller now versus have all that speculation come up during the actual survey.
